[personal UX/UI review] emergency door instruction at a subway train

Case: visual guide how to open doors in emergency
Positive: 1. images and color (i.e. red) to explain a how-to instruction 2. material to glow the instruction even under a blackout situation

Especially In emergency, people would understand and respond to visual cues such as images and colors more quickly than texts only. The choice of material is good because the designer considered various circumstances to fulfill the purpose of the instruction.

[personal UX/UI review] some observations

-. Case: rusted window frame
-. Issue: bad choice of material for the frame
-. Recommendation: use low maintenance required and long-lasting materials for building components

-. Case: Beans and Barnes signs
-. Issue: no inclusion of Korean pronunciation; this can a serious issue for especially first-time customers who would like to search the name and use its services because it takes extra time for them to figure out.
-. Recommendation: include Korean pronunciation of the store name to assist people who can't pronounce the name

[personal UX/UI review] good naming for a government organization

-. case: naming of a government organization
-. positive: the name includes "service" where this place could have been just "community center"; the inclusion of the word service is a perspective changing statement. I don't know the civil servants working in this organization are aware of deep philosophical meaning of their organization naming in English, but I'd like to compliment on the person who translated "주민센터" to potentially remind everyone in the organization go back to basics of its existence.

[Personal UX/UI review] a coffee shop's differentiation

Today as I was walking up a street near to work, I found this shop.

Positive: neat idea to differentiate a coffee shop from other stores around it

Explanation: 1. Placed wooden stair-like and grass-like installment to differentiate the shop's front from others around it
2. Put beach chairs to generate comfy feeling
3. Played songs that go along with the above setup

[Personal UX/UI review] iOS 7's Volume image

Issue: this Volumn image blocks content behind
Solution: give the image a bit more transparency
